Scheduling & Confirmation Policy

How appointment times are shown, how bookings get confirmed, and how barbers manage their availability on My Barber Expo.

Appointment times

All appointment times are shown in the shop’s local timezone, in both the client and barber apps — so what you see is always the time you should arrive at the shop, no matter where you are when you book.

Instant vs. manual confirmation

Each barber chooses how bookings are confirmed, and their mode is badged on their profile so you know what to expect:

  • Instant — your booking is confirmed immediately.
  • Manual review — your booking shows as “pending confirmation” until the barber accepts it. If the barber does not respond within the response window, the booking is automatically declined and you receive a full refund.

Barber working hours & block hours

Barbers control their own availability. They can:

  • Set weekly working hours, with multiple windows per day.
  • Add per-date overrides for specific days.
  • Block hours, or add extra hours, for emergencies and ad-hoc availability.

Your confirmed booking is protected.

Blocking hours never automatically cancels an existing confirmed booking. If a change would conflict with a booking, it is surfaced to the barber, who must resolve it either by requesting a reschedule (which you have to approve) or by cancelling — and a barber-initiated cancellation always means a full refund to you.

Walk-ins

Barbers can record in-shop walk-in bookings and take payment by cash, in-app payment, or a secure card link. A barber may pre-register a walk-in client with their name and phone number to keep a record of the visit. How that information is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.

This page is a plain-English summary to help you understand how My Barber Expo works. It is provided for general information and is not legal advice. If anything is unclear, or you need help with a specific booking, email us at hello@mybarberexpo.com.

Your app always shows the exact terms that apply to a specific booking — including your barber’s own policy — before you confirm it and on your booking details.
